After 9 months away from Carlisle, CWC returned with CWC12. The bad weather during the day must have put a few people off coming, but we still had a good turnout and the rain held off for most of the night. The Cruise was held at the Lower Viaduct Car Park, the same location used for CWC4 and CWC8.

Convoys started arriving just before 8, coming from as far as Rochdale (Rude2Cruz), the North East (Spillers Cruise) and Glasgow (Strathy Cruise), and they were still arriving half way through the night. There were quite a few 'show cars' mixed with the usual modded motors and street sleepers, so the cruise carried on until well until after half 11 as there was plenty to see. A massive install in the back of a Clio made sure that there was also plenty to hear, no matter which part of the car park you were in!

As usual the Police kept an eye on the event, cruising past occasionally but with no complaints from either the general public or the Police the night was a great success. A couple of cars were stopped, though they were away from the cruise location and the drivers were simply asked to take more care with their driving.

Thanks to Carlisle City Council for fixing the car park lights the week before the cruise, and thanks to the Cruise Wombles for helping to clear up the litter at the end of the night. Thank you to everyone who supported the event, and we look forward to seeing you again at CWC13, which will be held after the Cumbrian Car Show at Derwent Park Stadium in Workington on 27th August.
