CWC 13 took place after the Cumbrian Car Show 2005, at the same location. After a full day on show, quite a few of the show cars went home, but plenty of modded motors that had not been on show during the day took their place, so there was easily enough on display to keep the crowd happy.

While the cars on the show field waited for the trade stands to leave the show car park, they entertained themselves with a bit of rally style off road action and car surfing. Although grass burnouts are not quite as impressive as those done on tarmac, they are still a lot of fun. When the car show had finished packing up everyone headed down onto the car park, for a cruise that was kept entertained all night by the Bat Cars sound stage. It's a CWC first, if not a cruise first, to have a stage with live DJs and lighting.

With the dusk kicked up by the odd nutter haring through the car park, and ample music from the sound stage, not many people were willing to show off their boot installs. This was more than made up for by the large number of cars putting out flames instead. We even had a burn out from a scooter, which unfortunately became a blow out as the sharp gravel sliced the tyre. Hope he didn't have far to walk home!.

After an earlier start than usual, the cruise also had an early end. A lot of cars ended the night cruising around town or parked up in nearby car parks, making the most of CWCs return to West Cumbria after it's long absence.

During the day's car show and the night's cruise CWC collected £151.52 for the Great North Air Ambulance. Thanks to all those who contributed and we hope that we never need their services.
