The rain put a few people off coming, but even though it was a winter cruise 15 days from Christmas, there were still plenty of cars to make CWC 14 a good night out. Raindrops caused reflections in the camera flash which spoilt a few of the pictures, but the weather didn't seem to dampen too many spirits as most people were out of their cars and socialising for most of the night.

People joined us from as far away as the North East, Scotland, Midlands and Wales and after a long wait for some on the M6, because of an accident, the car park at Hollywood Park soon filled up. With a good variety of cars on display from retro to flaming FTOs there was certainly a lot to talk about.

It was almost a year since CWC last visited Barrow, and in the mean time the car park had been fitted with some very badly designed speed bumps. Several cars ended up wheel spinning to get over the bumps, which were extremely slippery when wet.

The food outlets were once again overwhelmed by the amount of people that turned up, with queues out of the doors, some even ran out of popular items on the menu.

There were plenty of freebies to give away to help promote Cruise Fest North West which is our Car Show of 2006, (more details on the forum). Caps, bottle openers and fluorescent neckties were kindly donated by WKD, one of the main sponsors for the show and some people had the privilege of meeting one of the FUEL girls who joined us for part of the night.

Things quietened down at about half 11 and it was time for some exhaust flames and even some street entertainment to finish things off. With a variety of flames on offer, and some challenging antics it was definitely a good way to end the night.  Merry Christmas everyone, and we hope to see you all again for CWC15.
