Balls to that. You folk out your hard earned on a map you want to know if its running within its limits. Dosent advertise much confidence in his product if he's scrared to push it ? -------------------- ![]() 326.9bhp ![]() If in doubt flat out |

Agree, run it too rich and you get bore wash, too lean and melt pistons etc.
Any good tuner will extract the most power 'safely', anyone could run it lean and get should loads of pre det. -------------------- You can make any car fast but you cant polish a turd.

Why doesnt the torque and bhp meet at 5252? BHp = ( Torque x rpm ) / 5252 Torque = ( BHp x 5252 ) / rpm Thats why they dont intersect , oh and there isnt a torque plot on there just a bhp and boost graph tried getting a quote on one the other day. £6,000 was the cheapest lol Crumbs, all mods declaired on the RX cost me £550 fully comp -------------------- ![]() |

Because youve had it mapped to be useable not for only using half the power incase it blows up. If the mappers scared to push it whats going to happen if you do Its hardly going to be "half the power" less is it. More like 5-10%. You push an engine to its limits timing and fuel wise if you are racing, because you have the luxury of being able to strip and check the engine after every race. You try and run the same map on a road car for 50,000 miles without something giving way! Its not about being scared. I heard a story today about a certain road car which had been mapped for 240bhp, it was taken to a different tuning company who said it had been mapped poorly. They managed to get 300bhp out of it.... and then the internals melted This post has been edited by Munkul: Mar 16 2010, 08:41 PM |
