CWC's second Rolling Road Day was held at Bat Cars new premises in Carlisle. 13 cars made power runs, and the highest power recorded at the wheels was 266bhp from an AC Cobra replica. The conversion from power at the wheels to power at the flywheel varies from car to car, but +20% gives a reasonable approximation to account for transmission and tyre losses.

About 50 people in total turned up throughout the day, and with the mix of cars that hit the rollers there was something for everyone. When the cars weren't running the spectators were kept entertained by mini moto and power board racing, as well as a car park full of modified cars to view.

The event was marred slightly by a coming together between the Cobra and the 200sx which was parked in the car park. Luckily the damage was not too great and a bit of time in the Bat Cars body shop should see them both back on the road as good as new.

The feedback we got on the day was great, and with all the planned modifications that you have been telling us about  it won't be long before we will be running another rolling road event. There is nothing quite like seeing exactly what improvement a modification has done to your car, and it also pays to know exactly what you are up against when you pull alongside someone at the traffic lights.
