On Saturday 20th October 2007, CWC had it's fifth rolling road day at JDM Dyno at Kirkbride Airfield near Carlisle.  JDM Dyno, part of Bat Cars when we had our second rolling road day in 2004, joined us in July 2004 at our 7th Cruise with the same rolling road.  Although now it is very rarely mobile it still has the capability to be transported if necessary.   This time 17 cars ran on the rollers, and a few more would have run if it wasn't for breakdowns and fuel leaks preventing them, they stayed to see how others cars performed and to get to know other members from the forum. There were a few nice surprises, and a few people having their cars on a dyno for the first time were pleased at how much power they were putting out. There were also a few who had recently made modifications who were happy with their results. The dyno runs showed up problems on a couple of other cars, but with all the expertise on hand there were plenty of suggestions given as to how these could be fixed, so watch out for some significant improvements when CWC has it's sixth rolling road day in a few months time.

The power runs shown below are flywheel horsepower, a 20% factor has been added to the wheel horsepower figures measured by the dyno to compensate for transmission losses. The actual transmission losses will vary by a few percent from car to car, but given that standard cars ran standard power on the day it's a pretty good approximation.
